Ryan is First To Jump In!
So I get a text yesterday from both Alan & Ryan practically at the same time… It’s photos of Ryan and his new 2014 BMW G 650 GS motorcycle! Wow! She’s a beauty! Congrats my friend!
This realization of this trip across Colorado in 2015 is really coming to fruition. I have my Vanagon Wesfalia which I’ve named Libby, Ryan now his G650 GS which is named Gisela and soon the others in the crew will be getting their BMW motorcycles for the trek.
Now it’s time for Ryan to start outfitting Gisela with panniers, which are like hard case saddlebags for camping gear and supplies for the trip. I’ve owned Libby for about 6 months now and it’s been a blast outfitting her for road trips and camping adventures and I’m still not close to getting her exactly how I want her. It’s a lot of work but its FUN work and Ryan will have a blast with Gisela getting her all road/camp ready.
I am a big fan of white vehicles and bikes and man this BMW is puuurrty! I am looking forward to helping get Gisela ready for the trip with a few shakedown runs camping across Texas.

I know right! Well I’ve already lifted Libby 1.5″ and got her some (relatively) beefy 215-70-16 BFG All Terrains. If they go trailing where I can’t go I’ll hang out at the camp and enjoy the scenery til they get back.

Nope. This is the reason he sold Rumbalina, he bought a bigger 650cc scooter. Larry meet Gisela, Gisela meet Larry. =)

My 1100GS turned over 100k miles last summer and I think I will replace it with a new 800GS. The BMW bikes are incredible, you will love it!
